SSP - Listening to relearn how to recognise calm in your nervous system
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a therapeutic listening intervention using specially processed music. It was developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, based on his work on the autonomic nervous system and polyvagal theory.
The goal is simple: to help your system process signals of safety more effectively, so that stress responses, sensory overload and auditory strain are less likely to escalate.
